Anika Walstrom, LPC-Supervised (MN), LAPC (ND)

Therapist

Anika would consider her approach to counseling to have a Person-Centered focus, and her therapeutic style is evolving. Clients can expect an eclectic style of counseling. She really likes using Strengths-Based and Solution-Focused approaches!

Anika’s personality is empathetic, accepting, and playful. This really influences her approach to therapy because she wants anyone who comes to see her to feel heard, valued, and acknowledged. With authenticity and honesty being two of her top values in life, Anika sees these qualities as key components to the therapeutic relationship.

Anika has a passion for working with children and adolescents, but enjoys working with individuals of all ages. She has learned a lot from her previous internship in school counseling and is excited to share this knowledge in a mental health setting.

In Anika’s free time, she loves to take her dogs for walks, cuddle with her cat, listen to music, and get lost in a good book. Some of her favorite books are “Where the Crawdads Sing” and the Mortal Instrument Series.
