Clients who see Karla for therapy can expect a compassionate, “person-centered” experience. She believes clients have the wisdom within themselves to integrate and heal even the most seemingly challenging, traumatic, or complicated experiences. Using a variety of mindfulness-based, somatic (sensory) experiences and hypnosis techniques, together you will explore the deeper subconscious beliefs that contribute to present-day problems.
Karla’s specialties include maternal mental health, with a background as a doula and childbirth educator. Karla is also a certified hypnotherapist, has taught hypnosis for childbirth and uses hypnosis techniques to assist clients with accessing the ability of their subconscious mind to heal childhood wounds, integrate different “parts” of themselves, and overcome unwanted habits and fears.
Karla’s ideal clients are adolescents, women in transition periods in their lives, and individuals or couples navigating separation / divorce and experiencing co-parenting challenges. Karla enjoys working with individuals who, through transitions or trauma, are questioning the deeper meaning of life and are ready to explore existential and/or spiritual topics relevant to current life situations.
Karla practices with a solution-focused lens rooted in existential psychotherapy to address a variety of mental health disorders, trauma and relationship challenges. She enjoys inspiring clients to be more curious about themselves.
