Kelly is a Clinical Social Worker specializing in work with children and families with further specializations in Early Childhood Mental Health, Adoption/Permanency, and Relationship Based Professional Development. She is a Child and Family Therapist and also the Manager of the Child Services Program at Ellie. Kelly firmly believes in the need for parents/caregivers to be actively involved in a child's therapy and seeks to engage family members in intervention throughout the therapeutic process.
Kelly has advanced training in Child Parent Psychotherapy and the FAN (Facilitating Attuned Interactions) model of interventions. She has experience treating children and families presenting with trauma and attachment concerns, anxiety, behavioral struggles, and parenting stress. Kelly will work hard to tailor treatment to your child and family's needs and does not believe in a "one-size fits all" approach.
Kelly is also an approved supervisor with the Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy and the Board of Social Work. She is trained in reflective consultation and provides consultation and support to area childcare providers and social service professionals across disciplines. Kelly is passionate about assuring that clinicians, professionals, and parents are all working together to meet the needs of children and families across Minnesota.
