Melissa Bolger

Melissa Bolger

Melissa believes that everyone can benefit from taking time to intentionally explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences when feeling overwhelmed or stuck and when seeking personal growth. She works to create a safe, comfortable space free of judgment for people of all ages to process whatever may be bringing them to therapy.

Melissa practices from a strengths-based perspective and believes that we all contribute to and are impacted by the beings around us and our communities. She uses techniques that are solution-focused, trauma-informed, play based, and relational/attachment-focused. She has received training in components of EMDR, Trauma Focused CBT, and Theraplay. She enjoys working with people from all backgrounds on a range of issues and has specific interest in working with individuals and families who: are struggling with low mood/suicidal ideation/self-harm, anxiety and adjustment related difficulties, have experienced trauma, are experiencing parenting or relationship challenges, identify as LGBTQ+, and have a history of or are currently experiencing physical illness.

Melissa is a therapist who often starts with understanding yourself and building from there to create the changes you want to see in yourself and your life. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time outside, traveling, and being with family and friends.
